Russia: Rollton — winner of the competition “People’s brand”

In Moscow are determined the winners of the national rating “People’s brand”, which was composed on the ground of the results of voting effectuated by 150 thousand of Russian consumers.

In 2006 the rewards were adjudged to the most popular trade brands in 20 categories.

In the category of food products the leaders were: soups “Rollton”, milk “Little house in the country”, mayonnaise Calve, mineral water “Borzhomi”, chocolate sets “Rossia”, chips Lay’s, energetic drink Red Bull.

Russia: About the consumption of the products of quick cooking

In accordance with the data of the study effectuated by the company “Komkon-SP6”, in the first half-year of 2005 the consumption of products of instantaneous cooking in Russia was as it is indicated below (product — consumers in % of inhabitants of the country since the age of 16 years, which ate this product at least once within the last three months):

  • Noodles/Vermicelli — 30.7;
  • Soups — 12.4;
  • Kashas (cooked grains) — 9.0.

Russia: ROLLTON — the most popular brand of noodles

In accordance with the data of the study of the Russian market of the quickly cooked noodles, effectuated by the company “Komkon-SP6” in the first half-year of 2005, the five most popular trade brands of the noodles of instantaneous cooking are (brand — % of respondents which consume / % of respondents which know):

  • “Rollton” — 57.2/73.1;
  • “Doshirak” — 40.9/68.1;
  • “Alexandra and Sofia” — 17.0/33.2;
  • “Anakom” — 14.3/26.6;
  • King Lion — 14.1/36.8.

Russia: Consumers prefer the noodles in packets

In accordance with the data of the study of the Russian market of the noodles of instantaneous cooking, effectuated by the company “komkon-SP6” in the first half-year of 2005, the consumers prefer the noodles and vermicelli of quick cooking with the taste of hen (73.7% of respondents), beef (32.3%), mushrooms (25%), shrimps (15.2%), pork (13.4%).

As to the type of package, preferred by the consumers of the noodles of instantaneous cooking, the 54.7% of respondents choose packets, 16% — jars or glasses, 10.7% — trays, 16.8% — do not pay attention to the type of package.

As it was demonstrated by the study effectuated by the company “Komkon-SP6”, the most popular places of consumption of the noodles and vermicelli of quick cooking are the following:

  • At home — 59.1% of interrogated persons;
  • At the work, institute, school — 30.0%;
  • At the country-cottage — 17.5%;
  • In journey — 9.2%;
  • In countryside — 4.5%;
  • Other — 3.9%.
