Finland: Real Snacks Company intends to produce grain-based crisps

The Finnish company Real Snacks produces 18 types of snack products, processing 2ths tons of potatoes a year for it.
The company is now planning to start production of grain-based snacks. The first lot of these snacks will be brought to market in summer this year.

Great Britain: Walkers Company uses sunflower-seed oil

The Walkers Company reduced fat contents by 60 percent in Sensations brand products and by 75 percent in Doritos brand products owing to sunflower-seed oil use.

Sensations crisps are produced in packages of 175g and 105g, while Doritos – 245g packages.

Great Britain: Rice-based Pringles crisps

The Procter & Gamble Company, Pringles crisps manufacturer, wants to diversify its product range by bringing rice-based crisps on the British market. New crisps will be the same in outward appearance as potato-based crisps and will be produced in similar packaging and have the same tastes. At the same time the new product will contain 30 percent less fat. So, consumers trying to use healthier products will become the target group.

«PRODEXPO UKRAINE 2007»

«Rollton» Trading House took part in «PRODEXPO UKRAINE 2007» International Exhibition. The Exhibition took place in Kiev since February 27 until March 2, 2007 and became an important event in the Ukrainian food market.

Exhibitors' pavilions occupied 2500 sq. m. area. 150 companies of different countries: Ukraine, Russia, Byelorussia, Italy, Germany, Turkey, etc. took part in the work of «PRODEXPO UKRAINE 2007». Over 13000 specialists visited the Exhibition.

Practically the whole range of manufactured products was presented at the booth of «Rollton» TH. Daily products tasting was carried out at the booth, and consumers' preferences analysis thereof will be conducted.

Meetings of «Rollton» TH experts with business partners and prospective customers took place during the Exhibition. The interest of specialists to «Rollton» TH products is traditionally high: over 1000 specialists in the Ukrainian market visited the exposition, over 200 offers for cooperation were made.

«Rollton» Trading House was awarded with a Diploma for the best booth at the Exhibition upon the results of the work of «PRODEXPO UKRAINE 2007».

Indonesia: Palm oil sales growth forecast

The palm oil sales increase in Indonesia up to 11.7 million tons in 2007 is forecasted in comparison with 11.3 million tons in 2006.

Such a forecast was made pursuant to the growth of demand for palm oil in the country. The forecast was made by the Indonesian Palm Oil Companies Association (Gapki).

Rollton TM is the winner of «Choice of the Year» competition in Belarus!

The Annual International Festival-Competition «CHOICE OF THE YEAR» in Belarus completed its work. Subsequent to the results of integrated assessment of «Choice of the Year 2006» competition based on all-Belarusian marketing research of consumer preferences and opinions of the Expert Council, Advertising Commission and High Jury, Rollton trade mark is the winner in the following nominations:

— «Fast preparation macaroni products No.1 in Belarus» of the year 2006.

— «Fast preparation soup No.1 in Belarus» of the year 2006.

The marketing research was carried out by «MASMI BI».

The results of the Annual International Festival-Competition «Choice of the Year 2006» in Belarus were audited and confirmed by «SAB-PKF» auditing company.

International festival-contest “Year’s choice”

There have been summed up the results of the Vth International festival-contest “Year’s choice” in the Republic of Belarus. In the nomination “quick cooking products” the winner have become: the vermicelli “Rollton” 60 g, the mashed potatoes “Rollton” 40 g. The solemn jubilee ceremony of rewarding the winners took place on April 6, 2006, in the cultural-entertaining center “Zhuravushka”.

Five years ago the contest “Year’s choice” became the pioneer in the determination of the best goods and services, presented on the Belarus market. Today there are many contests of this kind, but the “Year’s choice” in the Republic of Belarus remains unique. The investigation is being carried concerning more than hundred nominations, in which are taken into consideration all the goods and services presented on the Belarus market, independently on the number of the presented demands for the participation in the festival-contest “Year’s choice”. The status of international permits the participation in it of the world brands like Samsung, LG, Calve, Nescafe, as well as of many Russian giants. Only the contest “Year’s choice” effectuates the official audit of the results, with the aim of making the contest’s participants and observers have no doubts about the results objectivity.

At the present contest the competition for many nominations was much keener than any time before. Between the participants in the contest “Year’s choice” there are some ones which will become winners for the fifth time in succession. These super-stable brands on the Belarus market have received special diplomas and awards.

After five years the contest “Year’s choice” turned into one of the most sensitive indicators of the state of all without exception segments of the national market of goods and services. The contest’s results help to its participants to define more precisely the place of their companies on the market, to reveal their strong and weak points, to optimize the marketing complex.

India: AAHAR-2006

Trade house “Rollton”, member of the companies group FG FOOD, participated in the work of the 21st International exhibition of foods, equipment for foods processing and equipment for hotels and restaurants — AAHAR 2006. The exhibition took place since 8 up to 12 march, 2006, in Delhi. The international exhibition AAHAR is the most important specialized event in the South and South-East Asia. It is held with the support of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries of the India’s Government. By tradition the exhibition gathers a great number of exponents from different countries of the world, and in this year in its work there participated 297 companies.

The stand of FG FOOD drew the attention of exhibition’s visitors and participants — here always reigned animation. The visitors made with pleasure the acquaintance of products assortment of Trade house “Rollton” — products of quick cooking under the brands Rollton, BIGBON, Rolben. And the products tasting, which took place every day, permitted to appreciate the taste and quality of vermicelli, chips, little rusks.

The stand of FG FOOD was visited by the Minister of Food Processing Industries of India Mr. Subodh Kant Sahai and by other officials of the Ministry’s delegation. (Ministry of Food Processing Industries).

During the exhibition the specialists of Trade house “Rollton” carried out their successful negotiations with more than 80 representatives of companies — importers and distributors from different regions of India.

The results of exhibition’s work revealed the enormous interest of the specialists and exhibition’s visitors for the products of Trade house “Rollton” and their willingness to stipulate contracts concerning all the positions of the presented assortment.

Uzbekistan: World Food Uzbekistan 2006

The exhibition World Food Uzbekistan 2006 was held with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, of the Uzbek meat and milk industry association “Uzmiasomolprom”, the food industry association “Pishcheprom” and other organizations.

Trade house “Rollton” participates in the World Food Uzbekistan already the fourth time, and the interest for the Uzbekistan’s market is completely natural: the production and realization of foods are between the priority orientations of the economic development of this republic.

The consumers of Uzbekistan are well acquainted with the products of quick cooking under the brands Rollton, BIGBON. They are attracted by the wide assortment, as well as by the optimum ratio of the price and the quality. This year the visitors of the exhibition had the opportunity of getting acquainted with novelties, as well as of participation in tasting which took place at the stand of FG FOOG. The resolution of conferring the award was approved on the grounds of interrogating the visitors, effectuated by the exhibition’s organizers.

AAHAR 2006

Professionals in the field of food production took part in the annual AAHAR 2006 exhibition, which was held from 8 to 12 March, 2006 in New Delhi, India. Technologies and equipment for food industry were featured at AAHAR 2006.

Various food products and drinks were presented at the exhibition. Exhibitors and visitors from different countries of the world took part in the work of the exhibition. Trade house “Rollton”, a subsidiary company of FG FOOD, presented a broad assortment of fast preparation products under “Rollton” trade mark, as well as novelties: products under BIGBON, Rolben trade marks. FG FOOD stand attracted attention of participants of the exhibition with variety of assortment of presented products. Indeed, it was possible to find here products with “Rollton” trade mark to any taste and at acceptable prices. Visitors appreciated greatly “Rollton” products, particular interest was drawn by “Rollton” vermicelli, 60 g, as well as snacks under BIGBON trade mark.

AAHAR 2006 exhibition enabled participant to exchange business information, discuss exciting problems of production and enter into mutually beneficial contracts.

World Food Uzbekistan 2006

The 6th International Exhibition “Food Products, Drinks, Packaging and Production Technologies” will be held from 15 to 17 March, 2006 in Uzbekistan.

Trade house “Rollton”, a subsidiary company of FG FOOD, having completed its work at an international exhibition in India, has already presented its products to the World Food Exhibition in Uzbekistan.

In its turn, “Rollton” fast preparation products are well-known in Uzbekistan: vermicelli, noodles, soups, bouillons are very popular in the republic. GulFood 2005

Trade house “Rollton” took part in the 10th International Food Exhibition GulFood 2005, which took place in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) from February 20 to February 23, 2005. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum himself was present at the opening, which imparted especial significance to the event.

Large international specialized exhibitions take place annually in United Arab Emirates, in which take part not only representatives of Near East, those of Western Europe, America, Asia also. This year more than 2000 international, national and regional manufacturers and suppliers from 36 countries of the world were accommodated in the premises of 7 exhibition pavilions of the World Trade Center. Over 23,000 experts and partners from 126 countries visited the exhibition during three days.

Trade house “Rollton” presented the complete assortment of fast preparation products, as well as one of the novelties: “Rolben” instant coffee.

The results of the exhibition showed that the company managed to present its products efficiently, establish contacts with representatives of potentially interesting Central Asian markets. Preliminary negotiations resulted in more concrete notion of peculiarities, needs and possibilities of new channels of sales.
